“The overall percentage pass rate of students achieving grades one, two and three which are the acceptable grades in the CSEC examinations is 74.6% as compared to 76.4% last year and 73.8% in 2009. The results show a slight increase in the number of students who obtained grade one passes; increased from 14% last year to 16% this year. There is a small decrease in the number of grade two passes from 31% last year to 29% this year. Of noteworthy interest is that for the first time, four (4) students from four secondary schools namely the St. Mary’s Academy, Convent High School, Isaiah Thomas Secondary and the Castle Bruce Secondary school attained ten grade ones in the examinations.”
