“We, at the High Commission, will actively engage relevant authorities on both sides to ensure the enlargement of the contents of the Technical Aid Care Programme to the Commonwealth of Dominica. By this, we mean the engagement of engineers and other relevant professionals so that they will add value to the lives of the people of Dominica. I will equally encourage both sides to enter into more bilateral agreements that will foster our mutual development in the areas of agriculture, education, culture and tourism particularly bilateral air service agreement that will lead to direct air links through which the benefits in our relations could be maximised.”

In the meanwhile, President of Dominica Dr. Nicholas Liverpool is looking forward to the further deepening of the existing relations between Dominica and Nigeria.

“I hope that you will continue the work of your predecessors in strengthening the bonds of fruitful and cordial relations and cooperation which already exists between our two countries and will also explore new and better means to improve and deepen bilateral cooperation as we strive for the development of our people.”

Dominica has benefitted significantly from the technical aid corps scheme since the formalising of ties with Nigeria in 2002.
