 Research Facility at Londonderry
A research facility was formerly handed over to the Central Livestock Farm facility at Londonderry. The facility was constructed voluntarily by friends of the Carmel Baptiste Church of North Carolina in five (5) working days.
Charles Cranford of the Carmel Baptiste Church said that this was not their first trip to Dominica and has also done work in several other Caribbean islands.
“…this is our seventh (7th) trip to Dominica. We began our construction ministry in the Caribbean back in 1992. The first trip made was to Nevis and we followed up that with several trips to Nevis, Antigua, Barbuda, Guadeloupe and then to Dominica.”

Mr. Cranford also went on to express his hope for the facility.
“Above all, we want God to have the glory as this building is used to serve the people of Dominica, to make their lives better, to develop better methods of agriculture and to improve in general the lives of the people here.”
Hon. Matthew Walter, Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry was grateful for the donations that they have given to the Government and people of Dominica.

Hon. Matthew Walter, Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry
“On behalf of the Government and the Ministry, I want to extend my most fervent gratitude to you and the Carmel Baptist Church for recognising the need to implement this significant facility in Dominica. This contribution is complimented by this tractor. It is of my understanding that you donated it to the Ministry of Agriculture and you previously donated some goats. Certainly, the donations that you’ve given will go a very long way so that the Ministry and by extension, the country, will be able to achieve its objectives in the livestock subsector.”
Pastor of the Deliverance Baptist Church here, David Serrant was delighted that the Carmen Baptist Church could partner with his local church to construct such a gift to the Government of Dominica. |
