Workers working on trench on the northern bank of the Roseau River
The Ministry of Public Works and Infrastructural Development has begun work on the first phase of the Roseau Road Reinstatement Project. Contractors are presently undertaking excavation works at the northern bank of the Roseau River for the implementation of the first phase of the project. This phase of the project will involve the construction of a bridge crossing linking Bath Road to the northern bank of the Roseau River.
According to Government’s Engineer, Emile Lancelot, work is progressing satisfactorily. The project is being financed by the Kuwaiti Fund and the Government of Dominica. The total cost of the project is expected to 20.8 million East Caribbean dollars.
The project will be executed in three main phases. The first phase should be completed within the next twelve months. The first phase is the construction of the Link Road to Rose Street, Goodwill, which commences at the E.C Loblack Bridge and moves
eastwards along the northern bank of the Roseau River and terminates on Rose Street.

The second major component of the project will be what is described as the Windsor Park Road which commences at the intersection of Bath Road and River Street and moves along the southern bank of the Roseau River and terminates at the intersection
of Elmshall Road and Valley Road.
The third major component of this project is the bridge which links these two (2) streets which crosses from the end of Bath Road
at the River Street intersection and goes across the river to what we call the Link Road.
