Procurement of Fertilizer for Crop Production

The Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Emergency Agricultural Livelihoods and Climate Resilience Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Procurement of Fertilizer for Crop Production as described:

  • Lot 1.1: Fertilizer for Banana and Plantain Production -16.8.24+4MgO (8,145 bags)
  • Lot 1.2: Fertilizer for Root Crops Production 12.24.12 (22,044 bags)
  • Lot 1.3: Fertilizer for Tree Crops Production 16.8.24+4MgO (8,688 bags)
  • Lot 2.1: Fertilizer for Vegetables Production 12.12.17+3.5MgO (Organic) (5,844 bags)
  • Lot 2.2: Fertilizer for Horticulture Production 12.17+3.5MgO (1,924 bags)

This bid is conducted on lots basis. Bidders may bid for any one or all lots as further defined in the bidding documents. Bidders wishing to offer discounts in case they are awarded more than one contract are allowed to do so, provided that the discounts are included in the Letter of Bid.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Food & Fisheries now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Procurement of Fertilizer for Crop Production.

Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank's "Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers- Procurement in Investment Projects Financing" July 2016, revised November 2017 and August 2018 ("Procurement Regulations"), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

The Bidding document in English may be obtained by interested eligible Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below. The document will be sent by e-mail.

Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 10:00 a.m. on 5th September, 2019. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders' designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below at 10.00 a.m. on 5th September, 2019.

Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder's beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
